The Winning Entry!

While January often means easing into the new year, at PoINT we hit the ground running—with an internal initiative designed to ignite innovation and sharpen our commercial edge.

Throughout the month, our talented Project Managers and Designers teamed up to tackle a trio of proactive briefs, each aimed at crafting future-forward display and retail solutions. With new categories and creative challenges for every team, the focus was on bold thinking, strategic problem-solving, and commercial impact.

Each team was assigned one brief and worked autonomously to develop a complete commercial proposal—including design, costings, and timings. Every individual also had the opportunity to contribute across other briefs and even take on a bonus brief in a completely different category. This not only encouraged creative range, but also boosted our chances of uncovering breakthrough solutions that could shape real client conversations in the months ahead.

While this wasn’t framed as a competition, the spirit of friendly rivalry was alive and well. Teams pushed each other to go beyond the expected—leveraging cross-team insights, exploring new formats, and leaning into Spark’s signature approach: strategy-led creativity with commercial intent.

The most commercially impactful proposal was recognised and this modular display concept: a bold, adaptable solution that shifts effortlessly from a freestanding unit to a shelf display, thanks to its smart modular shelving pods. It’s versatile, eye-catching, and built for impact.
